The Process
Company challenges At a time where updated technology is the differential that any company can offer, Diego Gómez, head of the sector development of Carsa Area Systems (Megatone), needed to solve five major problems that the previous solution caused: technology upgrading, integration, licensing, dependancy on the database and usability.

Ready to face the challenge, the goals to be achieved were to improve the user experience with the use of systems, to use a new platform of development with multi-platform technologies, and to apply methodologies and configuration control processes in the development.

When it was time to put into practice the stated objectives, the team responsible for the project , together with Cubika, evaluated the Adobe Flex and Air solution as a possibility. By choosing Adobe, three major issues were solved:
  To improve the application interface
To achieve an architecture with a breakthrough in remote solutions with high quality graphics
To enable an integration with a service model.

However, it was impossible to carry out the implementation in the expected time, considering the complexity of the technology. The help provided by Cubika was essential for achieving the implementation of the solution. “We had to merge into one single team: Carsa and Cubika, so as to be able to undertake the development. The contribution of the consultants' knowledge regarding the architecture definition and the technology integration with the chosen tools made it possible to achieve the desired objective,” he stated.
