Buenos Aires, April 17th 2006.- Cubika, an Argentine company devoted to the development of enterprise applications and its regional partner of Adobe (Formely Macromedia), announce that GALENO group – the most important integrated health company of the country – has acquired the license for the use of Flex as its new standard for the developement of corporate applications.

Adobe’s Flex (Formely Macromedia) is a programming platform for the development of enriched corporate applications (RIA - Rich Internet Applications) that uses the  FLASH presentation technology. This tool improves the user´s experience, avoiding waiting between pages and simultaneously reducing the associated costs of technology infrastructure and programming.

“Altought we were convinced that the path we should follow was that of Web applications, we had considered some other posibilities for our future developments. When we saw Cubika’s demonstration of Flex, we assessed it to be a better alternative for us than JAVA or PHP”, Santiago Videla, manager of computer science technology of GALENO, Medical Protection systems said.

Through the development of RIAs it is possible to connect the Web presentation layer with the organizations’ operative information in a way similar to that which exists in the client/server model. In this way it is feasible to respond to the need of Internet or Intranet accessible applications achieving online functioning levels as efficient as those of any system installed in user’s machines.
